What an exciting way to start! While we were busy arranging our licences to launch our business here, the local media got wind of our plans – which we didn't mind at all!
In fact, even three (!) newspapers published an article about the new golf school. Time for a little summary of this first achievement as a new company.
On 6 March 2020, we've been featured on the popular Dutch-language online news site Bonaire.nu. Today, almost one week later, the article has been viewed almost 3,000 times and shared online more than 400 times! And on a island with 20,000 inhabitants, that's a lot!
On 7 March 2020, we were featured with a large article with photos in the èxtra Boneiru, a daily local newspaper in the local language Papiamento, which can be subscribed to and is sold at supermarkets, bakeries, etc.
A few days later, on Tuesday 10 March, our story was picked up by the Antilliaans Dagblad. This newspaper is the only Dutch-language morning news paper for Bonaire and Curaçao. So that means the news about the golf school has already traveled overseas!
We have received a lot of response to the publications. People are really positive and excited about the new golf school. Even people who have never played golf before are asking us for more information. So it seems we are already achieving one of our goals: introducing this great sport to the locals here and bringing people with all kinds of backgrounds together to share, learn and love.
This is truly a perfect start for our start, and we feel very blessed for the warm welcome we are getting here. We are committed to continue this positive momentum and excited about what the future holds for us and the people around us.
